Safe Handling of Nuclear Gauges and X-Ray Analyzers

Classification of work area:

▪ The work area where a nuclear gauge/X-ray analyser is to be installed or

operated should be classified.

▪ It is important in the case of portable devices where the operation has to

be carried out in an open field and for certain type of devices where the

source has to come out of its shielded housing during operation.
