Nuclear Gauging System
Source housing:
▪ Should be designed, manufactured and tested according to recognized standards.
▪ Should be designed and manufactured with adequate shielding for the activity and
type of source involved.
▪ The leaked radiation should meet the dose rate criteria approved by AELB.
▪ The design should take into consideration requirements for safe storage and transport
of the source.
▪ The shielding should be designed and manufactured to withstand all conditions
encountered during use, storage and transportation.
