PRINCIPLES OF RW MANAGEMENT

Principle 7: Control of Radioactive Waste Generation

                               ▪ Generation of radioactive waste shall be kept to the minimum practicable

                               ▪ Such minimum practicable can be achieved by:

                                      a. Appropriate design measures
                                      b. Proper planning and implementation of practices such as decommissioning,

                                            selection and control of materials

                                      c. Recycle and reuse of material
                                      d. Appropriate operating procedures

Principle 8: Radioactive Waste Generation and Management Interdependencies

Interdependencies among all steps in radioactive waste generation and management shall
                              be appropriately taken into accounts
