X-ray Analyzers
Safety features of X-ray analyzers:
Tube housing:
▪ Should be interlocked to the X-ray tube so that removal of one from the other or any
part of the housing will immediately de-energise the X-ray tube.
▪ Should be made of material of sufficient strength and thickness to ensure that it cannot
easily be fractured or deformed under normal use, accident or misused.
▪ The radiation dose in one hour on the surface for any permissible operation should not
exceed those specified by the manufacturer and/or standards recognised by the AELB.
