Introduction 3

❖ Accidents can happen with nuclear gauges and X-ray analyzers.

❖ These may lead to personnel receiving a radiation dose exceeding

the operational or annual dose limits.

❖ Emergency occurrence and situation is unplanned and largely

unpredictable. Thus, emergency response to manage and control

emergency need to be planned.

❖ The plan is required to minimize the impact caused by accident,

to return the emergency state into normal and to fulfill the

requirements of Basic Safety Standards Regulations.
