Nuclear Gauging System
Application of Nuclear Gauges
1. Level gauge:
▪ The most popular application in industry.
▪ Used to check or measure the maximum and/or minimum level of liquid in
containers, vessels, bunkers and pipes or the level of container filling.
▪ It usually works on transmission principle using a gamma source with one or
more detectors.
▪ More radiation is absorbed/scattered when pass through the materials which
distinguish the presence of its level.
