ACCIDENT INVOLVING FIRE

5. Before leaving scene of fire, the fire crew and all others involved in fire-
fighting should be monitored for any contamination.

6. After fire is put out, an assessment should be carried out to determine the

cause of fire, the extent of damage and whether there is any radioactive

contamination.

7. Any damage should be restored and if there is found to be contamination,

the area should be decontaminated as soon as possible
