• Transportation of RAM should be arranged,

prepared, and carried out according to the

requirements of the Radiation Protection

(Transport) Regulations 1989.

• However, this do not apply to RAM:

• Moved within premises;

• Injected into human body as part of a medical diagnosis

or treatment;

• Implanted in human body as radioisotope device;

• Used as an integral part of a vehicle (nuclear powered

submarine)
