4. Equivalent Dose (H)
Different types of radiation has different effect in inflicting
overall biological damage according to its radiation weighing
effect. Equivalent dose describes the effect of absorbed
dose in a particular medium due to different types of
radiation.
Old unit: rem, S.I. unit - Sievert (Sv)
Equivalent Dose (H) = Absorbed Dose (D) x Radiation
