• The facility staff

• Classifies the emergency

• Notifies jurisdictions within PAZ and UPZ

• Takes all possible actions to prevent or reduce the release

• Provides protective action recommendations to off-site

officials (within 15 min)

• Rapidly monitor in PAZ and UPZ until relieved by off-site

officials
