Decontamination 50
➢ Decontamination is a process to remove radioactive sources of
contamination (unsealed sources) from contaminated objects or personnel.
➢ Monitoring is important to be carried out prior and after decontamination
for two reasons;
✓ firstly to detect contamination
✓ secondly to confirm its removal.
