5.3 Monitoring Assessment 31
Objective
To assess the severity of accident, control situation and return it
back to normal.
Monitoring Assessment
❖ Film badge and/or TLD should be immediately sent to SSDL of
Nuclear Malaysia to assess level of radiation exposure.
❖ Contamination should be assess and request trained personnel
to decontamination of the area.
❖ The worker who has been overexposed to radiation is
subjected to chromosome aberration test in addition to
medical examination.
