➢ Response Action :

i. Shut off all mechanical ventilation system and close all outside

openings. However, if the release occurs on offshore platforms,

continue ventilation to disperse the contamination

ii. If contamination is by liquid radioactive, cover spillage with

absorbent paper to prevent wide spread contamination

iii. Evacuated the area concerned

iv. Rope off contaminated area and post appropriate warnings or

guards

v. Monitor clothing and body for any signs of contamination
