MONITORING STAGES

❑PRE-OPERATIONAL

• Prior to plant construction, covers bigger area (e.g: 5 km to 20 km

radius)

• To determine background/baseline radiation & radioactivity level in
the environment

❑OPERATIONAL

• During operation, covers smaller area

• To ensure the effectiveness of the effluent control system & program
and compliance with standards

❑POST-OPERATIONAL

• After cease of operation

• To verify that the site is free from radioactive contamination
