SOURCES OF EMERGENCY

 For X-ray analysers, possible accidents or incidents that can occur as a result of loss of

control of personnel, devices and sources are as follows:

 Workers or other persons receiving or suspected of receiving a radiation dose

exceeding the operational or annual dose limits;

 Increase in radiation leakage from an X-ray analyser;

 Physical damage to the tube housing or the analyser’s enclosure; and

 An X-ray lost, stolen or whereabout unknown.
