DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF RPO

To ensure that the transport of radioactive material, nuclear

material and prescribed substances are carried out in accordance

with the Transport Regulations.

To ensure that the employment, the termination and the

retirement of radiation workers comply with the procedures

prescribed by the AELB.

To ensure that the changes to be made to the location of radiation

equipment get prior approval in writing from the AELB.
