ROUNDING NUMBERS

• How to round decimals

• Underline the place you are rounding to

• Box it in

• Look at the digit to the right

• If it is 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 add one to the underlines digit

• If it is 1, 2, 3, 4 leave the underline digit alone

• Copy everything to the left down

• Stop!! No zeros

If  5, add 0 to the

underlined digit
