Mitigation 10

• The purpose is to limit or control the effects, levels or

severity of unavoidable accidents.

• Licensees need to take the necessary steps to reduce the

consequences of an accident

• The respondent uses the basic principles: Distance, shield and

time in response

• eg: access control, intervention level, action level, on-call

advice

• Regulations 68(3)(e) P.U.(A)46 - Establish a different level of

intervention for each emergency
